The FURlough will accept all dogs regardless of breed but we do realize that there are just some dogs that are not suited for an environment such as ours. That does not mean that they are a bad dog, it just means that they are not comfortable with an open-play environment such as ours and might not be successful here.
With that in mind, we do require that each dog goes through a standard meet and greet to see if they will be a good fit in our daycare. This consists of your dog spending a few hours in our care meeting some of the more experienced daycare participants and assessing how your dog reacts to the rest of the pack.
Before we take your dog to meet other members of the pack we will start by asking you to complete some standard paperwork and giving our staff an idea as to the personality of your dog.
We will then introduce your dog to one of our other guests and observe how they interact with one another. We will then add another dog, one at a time until we are able to determine if your dog will be comfortable in the open play environment.
Prior to staying with us, either daycare or boarding, we have a few simple requirements.
